The highest refuge in Ariège, at 2,445 m. In a high mountain setting, it is located in the circus Fourcat ponds, crowned peaks of Tristagne (2,878 m) and Malcaras (2,865 m). Located on the HRP, the GR 10 and the cross-border tour of Montcalm

The refuge is open from the beginning of July to mid-September - reservation required in June and from mid-September to October - except guarding: 11 places.
