The permanent trail of the Tour des Pérics

This circuit of 49km and 2500m of elevation is achievable during the opening period of the refuges from the beggining of June to the end of September (contact the caretakers for info about the snow in June).

It is a diversified trail, with a mix between beautiful flat parts on the plateau of Cerdagne and technical parts on the rocks from the wild valleys of Ariege. You run through ponds while crossing the split line between the waters from the Atlantic and the waters from the Mediterranean Sea.
This permanent trail was design in a playful spirit where pleasure and personal achievement are what matters the most. 

For contemplative people or the ones that wishes to take their time, you can achieve this trail in two days, you just have to split the itinerary in two parts.
Depending on you departure point, you will have stages that are approximately 24km long for about 1000m of elevation. This will allow you to enjoy a nice evening in one of the 4 refuges of this circuit.
