The castle of Lordat

This fortress stands as a jewel of the historical heritage of the Ariège Pyrenees.
Come and discover this unique site which will offer you many activities and guided tours: medieval shows, star gazing treasure hunts, tales and conferences on Catharism... but also shows of birds of prey in flight.
Follow in the footsteps of the Cathars and feed on history all along the route offered by the Château de Lordat!
10 min approach walk. Provide walking shoes holding the ankle. Last visit 1/2 hour before closing. Animals kept on a leash accepted.
For the curious outside the opening periods, the castle remains open and free of charge
Calendar 2023:
Free and open access from October to early July.
Summer holidays: from July 8 to August 31, 2023: open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
