Orris du Carla

From generation to generation, the shepherds have brought their herds to summer on the "pla de Soulcem".
Before the dam was built, this area was occupied by many families during the summer.
However, there are still orris in perfect conservation since a rehabilitation campaign made it possible to restore an entire village which explains the functions of each orri.
You will easily find them a few dozen meters from the Carla car park after the Soulcem dam.

There is a book called "orris" written by Jean Besset for sale at the tourist office of the Ariège Pyrenees.
