  • The PGHM of Savignac les Ormeaux is made up of an officer, thirteen non-commissioned officers, three volunteer assistant gendarmes and Hanky and Sony, the dogs.

    In addition to the common initial training, the PG has in its ranks four high mountain guides, one ski instructor, five state graduates in canyoning, a state certificate in caving, three mid-mountain guides, 4 first aid and even a state swimming certificate (a youthful error surely!).

    The PGHM of Savignac les Ormeaux is made up of an officer, thirteen non-commissioned officers, three volunteer assistant gendarmes and Hanky and Sony, the dogs.

    In addition to the common initial training, the PG has in its ranks four high mountain guides, one ski instructor, five state graduates in canyoning, a state certificate in caving, three mid-mountain guides, 4 first aid and even a state swimming certificate (a youthful error surely!).
    The PGHM is above all 14 gendarmes-rescuers, specialized in intervening in the mountains, picking up accident victims, lost people, anywhere and in all circumstances, 24 hours a day, all year round. It is the public service in the mountains.
