Media library belonging to the Haute Ariège Reading Network


We are expecting many of you (with your vaccination pass, from 16 years old).
We always reserve a welcome on Wednesday at Ax between 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. on the Casino terrace for readers who can no longer access the media library. Remember to call us at least the day before, so that we can prepare your reservations.
For the media libraries of Luzenac and Les Cabannes call us, we will also prepare your reservations and we will pass them to you in front of our premises during opening hours.


The Haute Ariège reading network includes four structures:
- the Ax-les-Thermes* media library, known as the center media library, because it is the most important in terms of the quantity of documents.
- the Luzenac library .

- the library of Les Cabannes.
- the library of Hospitalet Near Andorra.

When you register in one of the libraries, you become a user of the network and you can borrow or return the documents wherever you want.
When you register you will receive a unique card.
Documents circulate from one library to another, on demand.
Membership is free.
Registration allows you to borrow, for a period of three weeks, 3 books, 3 CDs or DVDs and 2 magazines.
The network also has books recorded on CD, books in large print and internet access on compulsory registration (for documentary research), 2 digital tablets, viewing of films on VOD...

New service in Ax

Gain flexibility! A document return box is available when the Ax media library is closed. You will find it on the terrace of the Casino building, next to the entrance to the media library.


Media library opening hours in Ax-les-Thermes

- Monday: Closed
- Tuesday: 9:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. continuous day
- Wednesday: 9:30 a.m./12:15 p.m. - 3 p.m./6 p.m.
- Friday: 3-6 p.m.
- Saturday: 9am-11.45am
Internet consultation spaces are also made available to the public again.


Every Tuesday all day .... Enjoy a cultural meridian break, but not only .... because terrestrial foods will be tolerated, even shared with friends, provided you bring your packed lunch. Microwave oven, kettle, cups, armchairs and a sofa will be installed so that this time can be lived, in a friendly, relaxed, lively and comfortable atmosphere, a bit like at home!
The media library aims to become a central, benevolent and facilitating place to live: no more lunch breaks in your car in the middle of winter!
